In March 2027, Jake Greene plans to skate from the Brisbane Sign at South Bank to the Sydney Opera House.

Across roughly two weeks, the team will tackle twelve long-distance stages, two recovery and contingency days, and daily distances of 80 to 130 kilometres—while creating honest conversations about mental health in the communities along the way.

This is an endurance expedition, a travelling documentary and a reminder that asking for help is a sign of strength.

Easter sits in the middle of the expedition window, creating room for community moments while two contingency days protect the finish. Final roads, stops and stage distances remain subject to safety review.

What began as learning a new skill became a way to build belonging. Through skating, Jake found lifelong friendships, helped grow a welcoming community and discovered a space where people could socialise, challenge themselves and feel part of something.

Skate of Mind: State to State will use movement, shared miles and documentary storytelling to make mental-health conversations feel normal—not clinical, distant or hidden.

The team intends to raise funds for LIVIN and share its message that it ain’t weak to speak, subject to formal fundraiser and brand approval.

THE DREAM
HAS HISTORY.

Before Skate of Mind, Jake launched a 1000-kilometre Sydney-to-Brisbane fundraiser for Beyond Blue while COVID border restrictions were shaping what was possible.

That original campaign raised $5,881.70. Over the Easter long weekend in 2021, Jake then skated 301.35 kilometres from Sydney to Canberra in three days, finishing outside Parliament House. It was a real test of the distance, resilience, visibility and support planning the bigger east-coast vision would demand.

The route changed. The reason for doing it never disappeared. Skate of Mind: State to State is the next, more prepared chapter.
